Symposium

A day on what philology is for. One keynote, three panels from an open call, sixty people at most.

Trinity 2027

Registration opens Hilary. Bursaries for graduate students and unaffiliated scholars.

The call

The symposium takes the year’s reading and puts it in front of the people who work on it. Morning keynote, three afternoon panels, and a closing conversation between the keynote and the group.

We especially want graduate work, work that crosses period or language boundaries, work by practitioners inside the traditions in question, and work that has been told it is not quite philology.
